Is it safe?

The file never leaves your computer. The PDF library runs in your browser, so there is no server that receives or stores your document.

Good to know

Pages are copied exactly as they are, so text stays selectable and the quality does not change. Splitting does not make the total smaller: the same pages take up about the same space, and some shared data such as fonts is stored again in each new file.

Limits

Password-protected PDFs need the protection removed first. Splitting into hundreds of single pages gives one download link per page; for long documents, extract ranges instead.
