What tech actually gets talked about
Every article on this site comes from a YouTube video by someone else. That means we can count something nobody else can: across 438 articles drawn from 275 different channels, which companies, models and protocols keep coming up. Here is the count, the method behind it, and what it cannot tell you.
How this is counted
- The unit is the article, not the mention. A name that appears ten times in one article counts once. Otherwise the number just rewards wordiness.
- Counted: the headline, the summary, the body text and the FAQ of each article.
- Not counted: link text pointing to our own articles (that text is another article's headline), code blocks, tags and channel names.
- The names are a fixed list, with spellings grouped together (NVIDIA and Nvidia are one entry). No automatic name detection — that could not be explained honestly in a box like this one.
- Recounted on every build, so it moves as the archive grows. Figures below are from September 14, 2026.
What this does not tell you. These are names appearing in our written summaries of videos, not in the videos themselves, and not across the industry. Which videos get covered here is decided by our own topic rotation, which deliberately favours some subjects over others. So read this as a map of what this site has covered — not as a measure of what the tech world is discussing.
Movement. The green and red figures show the change since August 2026. One reading is stored per month, and a stored reading is never rewritten — so the comparison is against what was actually true then, not a recalculation.
